What is the importer’s obligation?

Ensure that the machine is accompanied by the EU declaration of conformity, all the technical documentation and the CE marking
Ensure that the machine is accompanied by the required documents
Ensure that the manufacturer has included the machine and the manufacturer’s identification details
Ensure that the machine is accompanied by information for use
Attach the identification of the importer (postal address, web address, and email)
Inform the authorities when the machine presents a risk to the health and safety of people
Withdrawal or recovery of products that do not comply with essential health and safety requirements
Keep a copy of the EU Declaration of Conformity for 10 years

What is the obligation of the representative?

Maintain the EU declaration of conformity and the technical documentation for at least 10 years

What is the importer’s obligation?

Ensure that the machine is accompanied by the EU declaration of conformity, all the technical documentation and the CE marking
Ensure that the machine is accompanied by the required documents

Check that the machine is accompanied by the instruction manual or information for use and the identification data of the manufacturer and importer
Withdrawal or recovery of products which do not comply with the essential health and safety requirements
Inform the manufacturer or importer (and the competent authorities) where the machinery presents a risk to human health and safety
